Life Is Strange

Only a few promo copies of the soundtrack featuring the licensed songs and Jonathan Morali’s score have been released on vinyl as a gatefold 2LP. A few copies have been given to Square Enix employees and the gaming press and some have been given away in sweepstakes. The first copies showed up on social media around Christmas 2015.

The actual music from the game have not been released on vinyl, but a 12″ featuring four remixes of Craig Connor’s Manhunt have been released. The remixes are done by Bogdan Raczynski, EDMZ, The Bug, and Soundmurderer. It was released by Rockstar Games and limited to 1000 copies.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2

The actual jazz music from the game has not seen a vinyl release, but the free hip-hop mixtape that Capcom released for the game has also been released on blue vinyl and is limited to 200 copies.

It was originally for sale at the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con and was given away for “free” with any purchase of $500 or more.

On January 28, 2016 Spacelab9 opened up for orders on new non-picture disc variants from their own website. So far 3 different variants have been made (Mega Man, Cut Man, and Metal Man variants). Green translucent vinyl and black vinyl, as well as a lenticular cover and a standard cover. A few EU retailers sold the album along with prints and/or postcards signed by C418.

MOTHER / Earthbound Beginnings

Ship To Shore Phono Co. succesfully funded a Kickstarter-campaign that allowed them to officially release the orchestral soundtrack to the first game in the MOTHER series (known as Earthbound Beginning in the West). The Kickstarter is closed now, but they opened pre-orders for non-backers on August 26. The soundtrack is available on red translucent vinyl (500 copies), white vinyl (500 copies), and black vinyl (1000 copies) and started shipping December, 2015.

Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee – New ‘N’ Tasty!

Black Screen Records have released a vinyl record with new remasters of music from New ‘N’ Tasty! by Michael Bross as well as new mixes from the original Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee by Josh Gabriel and Ellen Meijers. It will be limited to 1000 copies on black and green 180g vinyl (500 of each) and a test pressing of 20 copies on 140g vinyl. Its official release date was November 27, 2015, but copies were shipped out earlier.
